Literature Text

Pale lips feast upon
Beauty as if it were
A ripe apple.

Her hair, as pale as
Moonlight intertwined
With rays of the sun.

Eyes,
once as blue as the sea,
And just as sparkling,
Now blank and Unstaring.

Her skin, as soft as silk,
No longer moves,
Or gives off,
The feeling it once did.

Her lithe body,
Once light and fluid as air,
Now stiff and heavy.

She lays now in a bed of
Scarlet roses and black daisies,
The flowers of
Love and death.

The Reaper had
No right to
Take one so precious
From this world.

Death had no right
To steal this piece
Of heaven so soon.

I shall join her
To stay with her,
For all Eternity.

For what is living
If you've lost
Your very reason
To live, to time?

Forever,
My love,
I shall be with you.
A poem I wrote two years ago.. Probably amongst my best.
