You Didn't Abandon Us?

    "Tell me why?!" The angry dragon snarled out, heartbreak clear in her words. "Why..! Why did you abandon the rest of us?! It wasn't our fault that they turned to the dark!"

    "Child.." the ancient god gently chided. "You misunderstand.. I never abandoned you.. They bound me. Torn me away from the rest of you. It was never my choice to leave."

    Drella turned to look at the being of light, her eyes wide. "you mean.. I spent all this time... hating you, resenting you... for nothing...?" as she spoke, the dragon goddess shrank in form, becoming that of a hatchling. "what have I done..?"

    She felt foolish, how could she have convinced herself that he had honestly abandoned her and the rest of her divine siblings, to just erroneously create? And no guidance? Ashamed, she turned away again, tears beginning to roll down her cheeks.

    "Drella.." stepping closer, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Child.. Don't blame yourself.. You had no way to know of my fate, as they sealed me away in secrecy.."

     "Novus.. I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry..." She whispered, her voice breaking under the strain of her emotions..
